This is the overall rushlands distribution layer. For locations and areas of component species, look at the layers: lesi.shp, jukr.shp, lesi-jukr.shp, _pldi-lesi.shp, _pldi-lesi-jukr.shp, _fear-jukr.shp.

Purpose:
Vegetation cover data from the Cawthron Institute were created as part of a larger dataset for their 2000-2002 study: Estuarine Environmental Assessment and Monitoring: A National Protocol (released 2002).

Supplemental information:
Broadscale Mapping Methods are described in general for all estuaries but no specific details are given for the Avon-Heathcote estuary on the scale, resolution, groundtruthing etc applied.
